He was born on February 8, 1947, in Nederland, Texas to Cecil Minnie Jacobs and Dain Orville West and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
Glenn graduated from Nederland High School in 1965. He was Ranch Foreman at West Ltd. Glenn enjoyed working with the livestock on the ranch and went to cattle auction every Monday. He also enjoyed his morning coffee gathering with his ranching buddies. He will be remembered as a man who loved the Lord. Glenn retired from Texaco Research after thirty-two years of service.
He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Caroline Miller, of Hamshire, sons, Clint West and his wife Nicole of Fannett, Texas, Clay West and his wife Donna of Lumberton, Texas, David Feldschau, Jr. and his wife Vanessa of Pearland, Texas and Mason Miller of Hamshire, daughters, Carly DuBois and her husband Steven of Fannett and Jayme Wright of Groves, Texas, grandchildren, Tanner, Josie, Jordyn, Chloe, Paityn, Mason, Bret, Maggie, Laney, Addison, Brooks, Hanna and Landon, great-granddaughter, Baylor West, brothers, D.C. West and his wife, Pat of Hemphill, Texas and Donnie West and his wife Sherry of Lumberton, sister, Judy Antilley and her husband Rudy of Lumberton.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Betty Antilley (26763373) and granddaughter, Alexis Wright (125887525).
A gathering of Mr. West's family and friends will be from 5pm until 8pm Monday, April 27, 2015 at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street in Nederland, Texas.
His funeral service will be 10am Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Broussard's.
Interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
