ALBERT C. SCHMIDT

Manitowoc – Albert C. Schmidt, 70, formerly of Eau Claire, died Thursday at a hospital here. The Eau Claire native worked 18 years at the Farmers Store before moving to Manitowoc in 1943 where he worked at a wholesale electrical firm until retiring as the company's Vice President in 1969. He married Hazel Burns at Eau Claire in 1930.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Eugene, Grayslake, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Kraemer, Manitowoc; two brothers, William, Holder, Mass., Arthur, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Emma Hemplemman, Mrs. Lil Paape, both of Eau Claire, Mrs. Clara Holmgren, Holder, Mass., Mrs. Minnie Onkel, Petaluma, California, Mrs. Irma Turk, Chippewa Falls; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 am Saturday at the Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home here and at 11:00 am Saturday at St. Paul's Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery here.
