Jerry E. Treadway, 72, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, KY. A graduate of Dixie Heights High School, he served his country with the US Air Force. He had a long railroad career beginning with the L&N Railroad and then as an engineer with the C&O, B&O and CSX Railroads. He was a Special Representative to two Presidents of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He also worked at Rockcastle Motors in Covington, KY. He enjoyed his retirement as an avid sports fan, especially University of Kentucky Basketball. Jerry loved his grand-nieces and nephews, his guitar, Bluegrass music and winters in Deland, FL. He was blessed with caring friends who provided fellowship and who enriched his life. He attended the Taylor Mill Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Connie Bagby Treadway and his parents, Cleo and E.B. Treadway.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 18, 2015 beginning at 9:00 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
