Mrs. Shirley Turner Bowling, age 66, of Paris Crossing, Indiana entered this life on January 27, 1949 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of Wallace Sr. and Iola Richardson Turner. She resided her early years in Scott County and attended school there. On October 2, 1965 she was united in marriage to Ralph Bowling in Austin, Indiana. This union was blessed with two daughters, Rebecca and Brenda. Shirley was employed for 16 years at Valeo Sylvania and retired in 2011. She had resided in the Paris Crossing community the past 38 years. She had attended the Broadway Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana. Shirley enjoyed quilting and gardening. Shirley died on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. at her mother's home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Shirley will be missed by her loving husband, Ralph Bowling; her loving mother, Iola Richardson Turner Angel of Scottsburg, Indiana; her loving daughters, Rebecca Allen of Paris Crossing, Indiana, Brenda Bowling and her husband, Eric Ball of North Vernon, Indiana; her adoring grandchildren, Amber & Ashley Hatfield; Jeremy & Samantha Allen; Cynthia Woodcock and Alisha Ball; her adoring great grandchild; her loving sisters, Marcella Campbell and her husband, Glenn of Lexington, Indiana, Sharon Graw and her husband, Richard of Lexington, Indiana; Barbara Beswick and her husband, Tom of Lexington, Indiana, Dianna Hunter and her husband, Steve of Scottsburg, Indiana; her loving brothers, Willard Turner and his wife, Diane of Scottsburg, Indiana, Wallace Turner, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Salem, Indiana, Walter Turner and his wife, Debbie of Scottsburg, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Turner, Sr. died, August 24, 1999, her step father, Virgil J. Angel, died March 31, 2013, her sister, Debra Angel Sawyer Dixon, died April 22, 2012 and Susan Neace died April 3, 1994, her niece and nephews, Crystal Dawn Newman died, Nov. 10, 2009; Walter Scott Bowman died, October 25, 2013 and Henry Wayne Campbell died, Jan. 14, 2001.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 2:30 p.m., by Pastor Johnny Bowling at the Broadway Pentecostal Church, 50 Broadway Street in Austin, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Bogardus Road in Austin, Indiana

(ALL VISITATION AT THE CHURCH) Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Broadway Pentecostal Church, 50 Broadway Street in Austin, Indiana.
