William Smith, 79 years old, 302 McPherson street, died at the Ottumwa hospital at 1:35 p.m. today. Surviving are one son, Orval of Ottumwa and three daughters, Mrs. Perry Whitmore of Ottumwa, Mrs. Ed Radtke of Chiliquion [sic], Ore., and Mrs. Robert Hathaway of Sacramento, Calif. The body has been removed to the Johnson funeral chapel pending the completion of funeral arrangements

Funeral services for William C. Smith, who died at the Ottumwa hospital at 1 p.m. Saturday, will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 2:30 PM Wednesday conducted by Evangelist J. A. Horn of Palisade, Neb. and Evangelist D. S. Horn of Longmont, Colo. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery. The body was to be taken to the home of Mr. Smith's daughter, Mrs. Perry Whitmore, 730 West Fourth street, at noon today, and will be returned to the chapel at noon Wednesday for the services. Pallbearers will be F. B. Leighton, Harry Vaughn, G. C. Sheridan, Frank McClelland, Frank Claypool and J. V. Schwartz.
