Louise Owens Lancaster, age 65 and the widow of Benjamin Nolan Lancaster passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at home.

She was born October 6, 1949 in Greenwood County and was the daughter of the late Raymond R. and Oma Stevenson Owens.

Mrs. Lancaster was a graduate of Hickory Tavern High School and Cecil’s Business School and retired from the State of South Carolina having worked at Whitten Center and Patrick B. Harris.

Surviving are her brother, Raymond Louis Owens and wife, Dianne of Hickory Tavern; sisters-in-law, Joanne Davis of Clinton, Patricia Burton of Ware Shoals; three aunts, Minnie Lee Jenkins and husband, Pete of Fountain Inn, Judy Stevenson and Irene Stevenson both of Hickory Tavern and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, David Hill.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Rabun Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Dr. Clarence Adkins and Hospice Chaplain Sandra Smith.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Southern Care Hospice, for the wonderful care given to Louise during her illness.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Rabun Creek Baptist Church Youth Summer Mission Trip, 17045 Highway 101 S, Gray Court, SC 29645.
