Born in Aiken County, SC he was a son of the late Odom Bolin, Jr. and Essie Anna Sons Bolin. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He worked as a carpenter for a number of construction companies and also worked at Graniteville and Columbia Woolen Mills, Augusta Fiberglass, SRS and Daniels Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Walker Bolin of the home; daughters, Melissa B. Brodie of Neeses, Laura Lynn B. (Randy) Strock of Salley; son, Edward Rayford Bolin, Jr. of Neeses; grandchildren, Michael, Tony, Samantha, Crystal and Donna; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Linda B. (Charlie) Durst of Batesburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Faye Rivers and a brother, Henry Junior Bolin.
