V. Marie Sparks, 83, of Southside, passed away April 21, 2015. Funeral will at Crestwood Chapel and burial will follow at Southside-Williams Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge. She was a longtime member of Louis Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Sparks Sr.; parents, Tillman and Sudie Letherwood; four brothers and one sister; and special cousin, John Letherwood.
