Virginia Victoria Gibson Griffith, age 91, of High Point, North Carolina, died at home on April 21, 2015.

Known as Ginny to friends and family, she was born July 16, 1923, to Rozena Perryman Gibson and James Emory Gibson. She attended High Point schools and graduated from Salem College in 1944 with a degree in elementary education and a host of friends with whom she remained close all her life. She worked in her family's business serving as Vice President of the Fli-Back Sales Corporation and Secretary-Treasurer of the Sock-it Company.

On October 21, 1950, she married Robert Grimes Griffith, also of High Point. After marriage, she became a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served on various boards and taught Sunday school for over 20 years. An avid bridge player, she was devoted to her family and friends.

Ginny was preceded in death by: her parents; her brothers, Walter, Earl and Emory Gibson; her sister, Josephine Tipton; and, her husband. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James McNeil Snow (Virginia Kay Griffith) of High Point, a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Christopher Wilkins (Katherine Herring Snow) of Cardiff, Wales and a grandson, Preston Alexander Snow of Henderson, Nevada.

In remembrance of Ginny, friends and family are welcome to visit with the family from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the home of Kay and Jim Snow, 1112 Forest Hill Drive, High Point, NC 27262. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 24, 2015, in the chapel of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1225 Chestnut Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
