Raphael (Ray) F. Armento of New Hope was born into eternal life Sunday, April 19, 2015, after a brief and intense battle with lung cancer. He was 76. He was the son of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Iacona) Armento; beloved husband of Jovina (DiMarino) for 53 years; loving father of Diane (Greg Feliz), Susan (Martin Bahner), and Stephen Armento (Kimberly); adored grandfather of Kathryn, Andrew, Matthew, Gina, Michael, and Stephanie; brother of Joseph Armento (Joan). He also is survived by many dear friends and family members.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Ray graduated from St. Joseph's Prep, Drexel Institute of Technology, and University of Santa Clara. He had a long and illustrious career as a program manager for GE and Lockheed Martin.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially in Ocean City, N.J. His love of adventure led him to many travels and cruises in the United States and around the world.

Ray was active in the men's group at St. Martin of Tours Church and treasurer of Boy Scout Pack 173. He was on the board of the Fox Run Preserve Homeowner's Association.
Ray survived kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and skin cancer. His grandchildren, Kathryn and Matthew Bahner, have previously raised funds for the American Cancer Society. His granddaughter, Gina Feliz is currently participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Central Bucks Middle Schools.

His Funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, April 27 at St. Martin of Tours Church, One Riverstone Circle, New Hope. Friends and family may call from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m., at Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 2335 Lower State Road, Doylestown. Interment will follow Mass in St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, New Hope.
