A consummate mother and homemaker, Jeannette was an excellent cook and passed that passion down to her children and grandchildren. She endlessly enjoyed preparing wonderful meals for gatherings of family and friends. She was also an avid sports fan and cherished her St. Louis Cardinals and Missouri Tigers. Jeannette also had a true passion for traveling abroad. She and her husband of 66 years, Kenneth, enjoyed fifteen vacations to Europe. Each was an adventure with family or friends which provided plenty of stories they willingly would share. Most of all, Jeannette loved to "brag" about the accomplishments of her seven grandchildren. Jeannette and Kenneth were charter members of Twin Oaks Country Club and members of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by Kenneth, son David Reid and friend Marla Marshall, daughter Sally Cox and husband Ken, daughter Diane Orth and husband Neil, grandchildren Melanie Cox Nuckolls and husband Michael, Nicole Reid Kamprath and husband Richard, Derek Etheridge, Jarrod Cox, Courtney Reid Brockmeier and husband Joe, Megan Etheridge Pudenz and husband Tyler, Danielle Reid and one great grandchild, Reid Kamprath.
