Josephine was born in Wisconsin Rapids, on October 6, 1944 to Kenneth and Josephine (Steffek) Gardner. She never married.
Josephine was employed by Riverview Medical Center in the Housekeeping Department.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wisconsin Rapids and of the Order of the Eastern Star. Josephine enjoyed going for walks, sewing and bird watching, especially cardinals. She also was an avid collector of stamps.
Josephine is survived by two sisters; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Frank.
