Francis B. “Tic” Clark, 88, of Flora, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015, at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.
He was born November 22, 1926, in Wolcott, the youngest of ten, to Thomas and Rose Brucker Clark. On May 11, 1973, he married Marilyn “Peg” Albaugh; she survives. Together, they shared over 40 years of marriage.
Tic graduated from Wolcott High School and joined the United States Army on March 20, 1945. During his service in World War II, he was part of the occupational forces in Japan before his discharge on December 17, 1946. Tic worked most of his life as an implement dealer starting with Massey-Ferguson in Clymers. He retired from the former Jackson-Lee-Pearson John Deere in 1992. Tic was a member of the American Legion in Wolcott, V.F.W., and 40&8. He was a true patriotic, proud of his Irish heritage, and an avid golfer.
In addition to his wife, Tic is survived by his step daughter, Jane (Gary) Woods of West Lafayette; sister, Evelyn Davidson of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Joni (Tim) Long of Evansville, and Kimberly (Drew) Gore of Zionsville; step grandson, Scott (Joelle) Woods of Tipton; great grandchildren, Braydon and Avery Long, Rylon, Hagen, and Kenley Gore, and Kellen and Keaton Woods.
Tic is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lucille Davidson and Ruth Sigo; and six brothers, Linus Clark, Cletus Clark, Paul Clark, Robert Clark, James Clark, and Morris Clark.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora, from 12:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jeff Landon will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora with military honors.
