Margaret Snow, 93, of Valdosta died Friday, April 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Linden, AL on January 23, 1922 to the late Bert Johnson Whitcomb, Sr. and Wilma Irene Cook Whitcomb. Mrs. Snow was a bookkeeper for the Valdosta Daily Times and for McClain and Brown Construction Company. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Snow is survived by her daughter and son in law, Barbara June and Kenneth Jasper Tomlinson of Valdosta, six grandchildren, Susan Lynn Jackson and her husband, Robert Len Jackson of Tifton, Lisa Lynn Tomlinson and her husband, William Clinton Christeson of Kensington, MD, Robert Glenn Murphy of Cincinnati, OH, Lisabeth Murphy of Chicago, IL, Leslie Ann Acord and her husband, Ronald David Acord of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Wesley Mitchell Snow Worthington and his wife, Amy Christy Worthington of Maryville, TN, nine great grandchildren, William Allen Yonce, Jr. and his wife, Tara Yonce, Robert Allen Yonce and his wife, Kristen Lanzana, Haley Anh Tomlinson, Nathaniel Worthington Crow, Gabriel Wesley Acord, Cora Jane Hosmer, Rebecca Ann Dunlap, Bellarose Sophia Dunlap and Benjamin William Worthington, one great grandchild, Konnor Sterling Yonce, her brother, James Clyde "Jimmy" Whitcomb of St. Augustine, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wesley Coney Snow, daughter, Judith Ann Murphy and son, Wesley Steven Snow, brothers and sisters, Charles Fred Whitcomb, Myrtice Velma Green, Mildred Earline "Billie" Moody, Mary Bert O'Blander, Bert Johnson Whitcomb, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Ernie Jones and Elder Tony Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from one until two p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
