Kenneth James 'Skip' Holder, 80, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 05, 2011, at Coshocton Hospital. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio, on March 7, 1931, the son of the late Charles and Uleta (Wilson) Holder.

Skip graduated from Coshocton High School Class of 1949, and then served in the United States Navy for four years during the Korean War. He was then employed at the former General Electric Plant in Coshocton from 1955 until 1989, retiring as 3rd Shift Supervisor. He attended the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton, was a member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge #376, and VFW #2040. Skip was an avid woodworker, and especially enjoyed making clocks. He also would fire and paint ceramics, which earned him several ribbons at the Coshocton Co. Fair.

Skip was married to Virginia (Gross) Holder, who preceded him in death in 1995, and he then married Patricia (King) Holder, who survives. Skip is survived by two sons; Dan Holder of Coshocton, Ohio, Tim (Julie) Holder of LaGrange, Kentucky, two daughters; Marianne (John) Finton of West Lafayette, Ohio, Terry (Jim) Reed of Warren, Ohio, a step-daughter; Cindy (Randy) Walling of Coshocton, Ohio, seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one step great grandchild. Skip is also survived by four sisters; Mary Margaret Byers of Littlestown, Pa., Elizabeth Ann Stratman of Dresden, Ohio, Nancy Carol Wyler of Coshocton, Ohio, and Judith Bernice Philabaum of Coshocton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by three brothers, and one sister.

Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery, where the Coshocton Co. Veteran's Council will conduct graveside military services.
