MARGARET JANE MILLER
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grant Methodist Church for Mrs. Margret Jane Miller, 89, with Rev. A. Breeling in charge. Music was by Mrs. C. A. Lenz and Mrs. Gerald Taylor with Mrs. Earl Spiker at the piano. Pall bearers were grandsons, Charles Kendel and Ashley nichols, Douglas Longmade, Max Miller and Leland Romig. Flower committee waas Mrs. O. L. Zappe and Mrs. C. W. Givan. Interment was in the Grant Cemetery.
Mrs. Margaret Jane Miller, longtime resident of Cass County died at her home 2 1/2 miles northwest of Grant at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 8th following an illness of five weeks. She was the widow of the late Arlender Cicero Miller. Mrs. Miller was born at South Prairie, Illinois, January 13, 1861, the daughter of I. Clark and Electa L. Ingraham and came to Cass county with her parents when she was nine years old, locating in the Pleasant Ridge, vicinity. She was married to Mr. Miller, February 20, 1883 and had resided on the fam since. Mr. Miller died in August 1902. She was a member of the Grant Methodist Church.
Surviving are four children, Ross I. Miller and Asa A. Miller of Griswold, MRs. Erma N. Nuckols of Cumberland and Dr. Zella E. Muelenberg of East Towas, Michigan, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A son Ray V. died in 1889 and a daughter Mrs. Clara D. Romig in 1909.
