Richard Harlan Whitlock, age 77, of Sweetwater passed away on April 21, 2015. After a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease his body has joined his loving spirit.
He was born September 19, 1937 to the late Virgil and Fannie Rhea Whitlock. He was married to his wife Jane Levette Husky Whitlock for 58 years. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway. He is preceded in death by his brother Mike Whitlock.
He is survived by his wife Jane Levette Whitlock ; his son Richard (Dicky) Harlan Whitlock, Jr; daughters Ellen Denise Mizer and Amanda Whitlock Hill; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; his sister Linda Allison; brother Virgil Lynn Whitlock ; and numerous other family members who loved.
The family will have graveside services on Thursday, April 23 at 11:00A.M. in the Sweetwater Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Sweetwater or The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
