He was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, a Mason, and a member of the Association of Retired Police Officers of D.C. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Earl is survived by his wife, Joanne P. Tucker, daughter, Connie Perry (Russell), three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held for the family at Ott Laughlin in Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.
