He was survived by his wife and these children:
Lillian Sellers, Joy Mixell, Beverly Regi, Sarah Zechman, Ramona Rutters, Betty Hess, Phyllis Smothermon, Ellsworth "Jim" Ford, Roy Ford, Wanda Horton, Nancy Lynn and Debra Reyonalds.
He was survived by 40 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a sister and two brothers, Jessie Chamberlain, Lambreth Ford and Simon Ford.
Four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
He had worked as a farmer, coal miner and retired in 1974 as an equipment operator for the PA Dept. of Highways.
