Fern M. Tuma, 67, of Cotesfield died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at her home southeast of Scotia.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Scotia. The Rev. Mark Middendorf will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Scotia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tuma was born Feb. 15, 1934, on the family farm in Greeley County to Herman and Elsie (Klein) Miller. She attended District 30 School and graduated from Scotia High School in 1952.
She married Ronald Tuma on May 28, 1952, at Zion Lutheran Church in Scotia. Her husband was in the military. The couple lived in Oakland, Calif., and Norfolk, Va. In 1955, they returned to Nebraska and settled on a farm eight miles
southeast of Scotia.
She lived on the farm until her death.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Scotia and the Lamertine Club. She enjoyed being outdoors, flowers and gardening.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dennis of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and a sister, Ila Mae Hoagland of North Loup.
She was preceded in death by a son, Randy; and two brothers, Clarence and Donald Miller.
