Frances Ellen Hoskins, 85, of Mitchell, died at 3:29 a.m. Tuesday at her residence.

Born May 8, 1929, in Bloomfield, Ky., she was the daughter of William and Virginia (Humes) Duncan.

She married the Rev. Paul L. Hoskins on June 21, 1947, in Salem; he died Feb. 9, 2012.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Mitchell and had worked for over 30 years for Evangelistic Faith Mission.

Surviving are two sons, Paul A. (Jean Amico) Hoskins of Mitchell, and Roger D. (Lisa) Hoskins of Heltonville; two daughters, Karen J. (Jim Pershing) Keith of Bloomington and Carol J. (Jerome) Troy of Wilmington, Del.; grandchildren, Tina Ballard, Aaron Hoskins, J.R. Troy and Hayden Troy; one great-grandchild, Tyler Ballard; and three sisters, Ruby Burns, Joyce Powell and Barbara Kilbourne.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; and two sisters, Lee Wasserman and Wilma Atkins.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford. Burial will be in Mitchell City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday.
