C. Vance Adams. 73, of Grove City RD 3, Pine Township, died suddenly Wednesday morning at his home, where he'd lived since 1958. He was born in Hendersonville March 2, 1907, son of Clinton W. and Margaret Miranda "Maggie" Jones Adams (their 11th child, 8 living).
He worked for Pennsylvania Game Commission in Franklin, then retired in 1971 from Grove City Floral Co., where he worked since 1958. He was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, Polk RD 1.
He married Beatrice Hayes; married Evelyn "Eva" Haag Nov. 8, 1958, and she survives, with a step-son, Harry R. Haag of Owensboro, KY; two sisters, Mrs. Maud Foster of Franklin, and Mrs. Stella Gimbel of Warren, OH; and three step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 pm Saturday at Cunningham Funeral Home with Rev. David L. Weston, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Mercer, officiating. Interment will be in Center Methodist Cemetery.
