George Michael Abaray, 58, of Costa Mesa, Calif., formerly of Forest Hills, passed peacefully Wednesday, April 15, 2015, with his fiancee, Tracey Anderton, at his side.

He was born Feb. 23, 1957, in Braddock, to George A. Abaray, and the late Anna Mae Tierney Abaray, who died April 16, 2010. George is survived by his father, George A. Abaray; a brother, Greg Abaray, both of Forest Hills; a son, George, of California; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

George grew up in North Braddock and he was a 1975 graduate of Churchill High School. He proudly served his country in the Marines.

Calling hours with the family will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, in the SCHLEIFER FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 412-271-1361, 534 Jones Ave., North Braddock. A blessing service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, in the Lesko Chapel of the funeral home, by the Rev. John Skirtich of St. Maurice Church. Private burial with complete military honors being rendered will be at 1 p.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
