Serving on the board of the Iowa Farmers Union for many years, Mr. Green was also secretary of the Farmer Union Livestock Commission Co., Chicago, and a member of the National Bottled Gas Assn. for 29 years.
Born near Grand Mound, he married the former Pearl Bousselot in 1910. Following their marriage, the couple farmed near Grand Mound until 1949 when they moved to Grand Mound. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1960.
