My 1st cousin.

Married Ann Burbridge, April 21, 1958 in Grand Junction, Mesa Co., CO.

He served in the Army from 1956 until 1971. He was discharged with rank as a Captain. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, as well as several letters of commendations.

Gene -- as I called him -- was a terrific guy. He and his military friends used to visit us in Lakewood, CA when I was a kid. A whole group of us would to go to the Pike Amusement Park and have a great time. One time I got sick on the Octopus ride and threw up all over his uniform. He laughed and didn't get mad at me. I took great pride being escorted by my "older man" date and loved being with him. He always made me feel special and surely I looked up to him as the big brother I never had.
