...the only child born to the union of Samuel Lewis and Millie Janette Dean Griffin, Carrie and her family moved from Madisonville Texas to Houston, Texas about 1927 where she attended and graduated from the newly opened Houston Heights High School later named John F Reagan High School located in the Heights. On the 1930 Census Carrie was living at home with her parents at 1305 N Shepherd on the then-rural Near Northside where her Dad worked as a Grader for the City Street Department. On December 23, 1937 Carrie married Marion Franklin Norris and they were virtually inseparable their entire marriage. She worked many years for Mozart and Keller a well known Houston automobile sales company specializing in Studebaker. She was a secretary and worked there until she retired. They were a very happy couple and always seemed to love life and each other. They busied themselves by helping to raise money for Shriners. They belonged to a square dance club and frequently participated in fund raisers. They were always ready to help in any way they could. They had beautiful costumes which Aunt Carrie hand made. They were very popular in their social circle....no children were born to their union...

Uncle Marion contracted Mesothelioma from his exposure to asbestos and passed away May 11, 1998....Carrie followed Marion in Death just 12 days after his passing on May 23, 1998....Carrie and Marion were my paternal Great Aunt and Uncle and my life was blessed by having known them.....
