Born June 7, 1974 in Staunton, she was the daughter of Faye (Harris) Gibson and the late Roger Lee Gibson.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Whetzel.
Survivors include her husband, William Randolph Sawyers; children, Dustin Scott Thacker and Jessica Etta Hemp and husband, Bryan; stepchildren, William Sawyers Jr. and wife, Kathy and Lynn McManaway and husband, Will; grandchildren, Riley Elizabeth Thacker, Anthony Sawyers and wife, Shea, Skyler Humphries, Corey McManaway and Tori Henry; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Sawyers; siblings, David Whetzel, Marie Moore and husband, John, Lonnie Whetzel and wife, Teresa, Ricky Whetzel and fiancé, Cathy Arehart, Cathy Whetzel and fiancé, Rusty and Ronald Gibson and wife, Amy; two nephews, Randall and Jesse Gibson; two great-nephews, Landon and Zachary Gibson.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Wayne Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
