Born October 14, 1904 in Lake City, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Rev. John N. Goss Sr. in Edmond. She took her responsibilities very seriously, serving as a ministers wife. She taught Sunday School all of her adult life and cooked some of the most delicious dishes.
Their first church was in Asher and later in Balko, Texhoma and Liberal, Kansas. They lived and served in Ralls, Texas for 28 years retiring in Estacado, Texas and in 1998 moving to Adams. They later became sesidents at the Senior Village in Perryton, Texas.
Rev. John Goss, Sr. passed away April 13, 1999.
Survivors include her son, Rev. John N. Goss Jr. of Adams; son in law, Terry Beckham of Ralls, Texas; her half brother, George McCaulley of Florida; and half sister, Bernice; five grandchildren, Jack and Linda Goss of Perryton, Texas, Donna and David Landes of Amarillo, Texas, Debbie and Ron Ivy of Aurora, Colorado, Dorla and Deith Harris of Perryton, Texas and Randy Beckham of Lubbock, Texas; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ethel Marie Beckham and granddaughter, Rhonda Beckham.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Sept. 26 at the Adams Baptist Church with Rev. Jack N. Goss Jr. officiating.
