Richard E. Lombard, 57, was the son of Robert D. and Dorothy (Noble) Lombard. He married Christine Mary Coleman December 28, 1968 in Newfane, VT.

Mr. Lombard graduated from Windsor High School in 1960, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in music education in 1964 and a Master's Degree in education in 1971 from the University of Vermont.

Mr. Lombard was a teacher and band director at Harwood High School in Waterbury, VT and played piano for several bands at night clubs and ski areas. He later taught and served as band director at Wachusett Regional High School in Rutland, MA. In the early 1980's he started his own touring business, Youth of America Inc., for gifted high school music students and arranged for tours to Europe and other countries.
