Marguerite B. Frey, 92, died Oct. 3, 1998, at the Beverly Manor Care Center in Laguna Hills, Calif.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Maxwell Cemetery with the Rev. Mary Shultz of the First United Methodist Church of Maxwell, Iowa, officiating.

Marguerite Frey was born Jan. 28, 1906, in St. Charles to Gabriel and Hattie Houston Archer. She was a graduate of St. Charles High School and attended Simpson College. She was united in marriage to Lester Frey on June 15, 1927, in St. Charles. She and her husband owned and operated Frey Hatchery in Winterset from 1938 until 1960, and then moved to California. Marguerite was a member of the Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Wally Byam Caravan Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, one brother and two sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Travis of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Barbara Hannah of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell, Iowa.
