She was born to Ronnie Gustin of Lubbock and Diana Atkins of Powderly, Texas.
Gena graduated from Sudan High School in 1982 and attended Levelland Junior College for two years, specializing in entertaining and food preparation.
She is survived by both parents; stepparents, Joe Robertson of Powderly and Bettie Gustin of Lubbock; a loving daughter of 10 years, Kelsea King of Granger; a sister, Debbie Parduhn and family of Georgetown; two stepsisters, Tifanee Stehlik and family of Lubbock and Shanileigh Swanson and family of Anton, Texas; grandparents, Loma Mosely and Dan Atkins, both of Muleshoe, Texas; along with various uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Gena had many friends during high school and her employment at Sam's Club in Austin and Wal-Mart in Georgetown. She loved to cook and is well known for her great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank Ed and Minnie King and family of Georgetown, Granger Villa Nursing Home, Georgetown Hospital and Hospice of Austin for all the love and care that they gave to Gena.
