Bob grew up in Kokomo, Indiana and was a 1970 graduate of Taylor High School. Following graduation, he worked at Cuneo Press for a number of years and then moved to California where he made his home for the remainder of his life. He never married. After serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Kittyhawk, Bob made his home in North Hollywood, California until entering the VA's hospice care center at Sepulveda, California from October 2011 until his death from cancer at age 59 in December 2011.
