It is with sad but rejoicing hearts that we tell you our sweet sister in Christ, Aline Davis, passed peacefully into the waiting arms of our Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Aline, better known to some as "Mimi," remained an ever faithful servant of Christ.

==========================
Mildred Aline (McCluskey) Davis was born on April 21, 1922 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Arthur and Eula (Davis) McCluskey. She and her five brothers grew up mostly in Oklahoma among other places. Aline married Samuel Alvin Davis on February 11, 1943 and they shared 53 years of marriage together before Sam's death in 1996.

Aline raised four children at home and then went to work for more than 20 years at Collins Radio in Richardson, Texas. She was a godly woman and an active member in each church of which she had a part. She was a member of Oak Crest Baptist Church in Midlothian, Texas for the past 18 years.

In her younger years, Aline liked to sing and was even included in a few singing groups. She enjoyed needlework, crochet, and making handmade crafts, as much as she loved giving them away. Aline also found pleasure in planting and tending flowers, and loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When her first grandchild was born, in 1972, Aline became "Mimi" and has been affectionately called by that name by all who have known and loved her since. Always ready with a sweet smile, she easily endeared herself to everyone she met and quickly held a special place in their hearts.

Aline was the selfless matriarch of her family and a wonderful witness of God’s love and grace. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, and caring friend. Dearly loved, she will be dearly missed.

Aline passed peacefully into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2015, two days before her 93rd birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and four of her five brothers, Reverend James Coy McCluskey, Captain Robert Donald McCluskey (Air Force), Billy Laverne "Bill" McCluskey, and Harry Lee McCluskey.

Aline was survived by one brother, Gene McCluskey* of Englewood, Ohio; her four children, Linda Davis of Irving, Texas, Janice (Davis) Jones (and husband, Tom) of Tucson, Arizona, Julie (Davis) Hyndman (and husband, Danny) of Midlothian, and Gary Davis (and wife, Patti) of Quinlan, Texas; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was at the Midlothian Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 21st. Funeral services were at Oak Crest Baptist Church the following day (April 22nd), with burial following in Midlothian Cemetery.
