On Monday August 3, 2009, our mom, Sandra Kay Finney joined our heavenly father. Mom was born to Corene Garner and George Robbins both of Tahlequah on January 21, 1943. She married our dad, Albert Finney, September 15, 1960 and they started their family in Louisiana where he was stationed in the Army. Eventually they settled back in Muskogee, Oklahoma where they raised six children and they taught us many values in our family owned Texaco station.

Mom was a devoted wife and even in the final hours of her days on earth; taught us the values of that blessed bond. She was fair and always thought of fun ways to celebrate any occasion. She encouraged us to follow our dreams but to always remember where home was. And home was always the place where we came to cry, laugh and love. Mom enjoyed fishing, music and reading and was known as the “Keeper of Secrets” for her grandchildren.

Mom went from a home maker to achieving her own goal of returning to school and obtaining her Home Health Provider certification. She was known as a loving and caring woman admired by all whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father; sister, Brenda Finney and brother, Larry Ragsdale. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Albert J. Finney; daughters and sons: Sharon Washington, Kathy Morris, Donna Baker, Ricky and Stephenie Finney, Jimmey Finney, Shon and Kristy Finney; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Meeks, Deborah Sterling and many nieces and nephews.

The farewell tribute will be celebrated 10 a.m. on August 6, 2009 at the Oldham Memorial Baptist Church; 3705 Tahlequah in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be, Gorden Mattey, Damen Washington, Patrick Todd, Corey Reynolds, Timothy Baker and Nathan Baker.

We would like to send a special “Thank You” to our Sojourn Hospice family; Frank, Nancy, Katrina, Carol and Janet.

The Family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
