She graduated with honors from General McLane High School in 1975 and Summa Cum Laude from Gannon University in 1978 with an Associate of Science Degree in Radiation Sciences. She was employed as an X-Ray Technician, lastly at Tri-State Pain Institute, from where she retired in 2009. Her interests ranged from photography to flower and vegetable gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father and oldest brother, Stanley P. Pekelnicky.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Timothy Sayers; her mother; her brothers and sisters; a sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, a great-niece and great-nephews.
Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
