Following his service years he joined his father’s business, Dixie Auto Parts of Pasadena, TX and was co-owner for over 30 years. He was past President of the Texas Auto and Truck Parts Association, lifetime member of the Pasadena Livestock and Rodeo Association. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason for 63 years, and past member of the S.P. Waltrip Lodge #1328 of Houston, TX, and current member of Pasadena, TX Lodge #1155 and member of the Eastern Star Pasadena Chapter #711.
Mr. Howell formerly lived in Pasadena, TX and has lived the past 10 years in Mississippi. He was a founding member of The Journeymen.
