Howard W. Fletcher, 98, a lifelong Clarksburg community resident passed away Saturday April 18, 2015 at his home.

Howard was born on November 3, 1916 in Decatur Co., IN to the late Carl D. and Grace (Humphrey) Fletcher.

Howard married Ruth A. Robbins on June 19, 1938 and she preceded him in death on September 10, 2003.

Howard retired from D&M in Connersville after several years of service where he worked in assembly. He was also a farmer most of his life and was well known for his mechanic work. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting with his family and friends. Howard attended Clarksburg Covenant Church.

Survivors include 2 sons, Michael Fletcher of Greensburg, Samuel Fletcher and wife Tammy also of Greensburg, 5 daughters, Barbara Miller and husband Robert of New Castle, Jeannetta Baker and husband Willard of Greensburg, Marjorie Grady and husband Duane of Newark, OH, Sherrill Ogden and husband Tom of Greensburg, Bonita Morris and husband Ed of Westport, IN, 25 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Howard was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Gertrude Bruner and a great grandson Seth Woodard.

Services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Friends are welcome to visit from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Mortuary. Pastor David Steidel and Rev. Don Bates will preside.

Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
