Funeral service for Sharon Lee (Burton) Reid, 73, Lawton will be at 9:30 am Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Menge, Pastor of Western Hills Christian Church, Lawton officiating.

Sharon passed from life, Saturday, April 18, 2015, to join her Lord Jesus Christ.

Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Viewing will be available Tuesday, April 21, 2015 and the family will be present to greet friends Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.

Sharon was born April 22, 1941 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Otto and Francis Burton. She was raised in Chandler and graduated from Chandler High School. She married James Reid on February 23, 1957 and they were blessed with two children. After James was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, they made their home in Lawton. Sharon graduated from Dalton Business College in Lawton, Oklahoma and was employed by Dan Delluomo Datsun. She went to work for FSNB in August of 1979 and was employed there until she retired in September 2003. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Lawton. Sharon was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lawton Chapter #82. She served as Grand Warder for the Oklahoma Grand Chapter in “The Pride of ‘98” with JoAnn Sheppard and O.B. Philpot. Some of her other interests included reading, camping, doing plastic canvas and watching her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include her husband James Reid of the home, her children Melissa Griffin and husband Ron of Indiahoma, Traci Crumley and husband Roy of Lawton, four grandchildren, Samuel Griffin of Norman, David Griffin of Elgin, Machelle McBride of Lawton, Tiffani McBride of Elgin, two great grandchildren, Aiden and Scarlet Pierce of Elgin, and special family members, Cynthia Dicus and husband Danial of Steelville, Missouri, Shana Dicus of Dallas, Texas and Derek Dicus of Richland, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
