Lawrence Stephen Hayes, born 13 October 1943 to Pattie and Lawrence Hayes, passed away on 16 April at his home in Thornton, CO. He graduated Northwest Classen High School in 1961 and attended The University of Oklahoma, Central State College, and the University of Las Vegas. Steve was a beloved husband and father of three boys. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathryn Cole Hayes; and their three sons and families, Cole & Angela, of Memphis, TN, grandchildren, Taylor, Stephen, and Ian; Chris & Michelle, of Holly Springs, NC, grandchildren, Madison and Kylee; and Clark and Stephanie, of Henderson, CO, grandchildren, Charlee and Mac. Also survived by a brother, a sister, a brother-in-law, many nephews, nieces and cousins. Celebration of life services to be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, 25 April at North Metro Church in Thornton, CO.
