Mrs. Barbara Ann Lester, age 93 of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Winnsboro. She was born on June 1, 1928 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to the late Williams Nels Olson and Una Vivian Welch Olson.
Mrs. Lester was a homemaker and nurse and longtime "Pink Lady" volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital in Winnsboro. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro and the Eastern Starr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Lester in 2013.
Survivors include her sons, Bruce Lester and wife Brenda of Scroggins, George Lester of Newsome and Paul Lester and wife Kim of Scroggins; daughter, Ruth Lester Deaton of Houston; sister-in-law, Juanita Lester of Scroggins; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at First Baptist Church - Winnsboro 200 W. Broadway Winnsboro, Texas 75494 at 2:00 pm, Dr. David Rose conducting. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Scroggins, with Mark Lester, Elliott Lester, Tate Lester, Max Lester and Charles Deaton serving as pallbearers.
