Services are held for Opal Burke
Opal Mae Burke, 82, died March 6, at her home in Charlestown, Ind.
Formerly of Hemphill, she was the daughter of the late Clabe and Braska Hall Potter, the widow of Pallas H. Fleming, and was later married to M. V. Burke, who also preceded her in death.
She was the mother of the late Ernest Fleming, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Dennis Fleming and wife Donna of Amherst, Oh.; three daughters, Gloria Kaelin and husband Randy of Charlestown, Ind., Pamela Ashley and husband David of Pendleton, Ind., and Anna Lee Hoskins and husband Bobby of Laurel, Ind.; five sisters, Zella Barnes of Florida, Reba Hines, Betty Dunford and Hazel Thompson, all of Michigan, and Georgia Fleming of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 32 greatgrandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 9 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in Hemphill Cemetery.
