UNION CITY - Jeff L. Mitchell, 77, retired salesman, died Friday at Union City Health Care Center after a long illness. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Gleason. He was a member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mitchell, the widower of Eleanor H. Mitchell, leaves a daughter, Ms. Linda Hearn of McKenzie; two sons, Larry Mitchell of Union City and Gary Mitchell of Atlanta; a stepdaughter, Ms. Martha Ann Abernathy of Greenfield; a stepson, Billy Higgs of Memphis; a sister, Ms. Mandy Legons of Greenfield, and three grandchildren.
