CHAMBERSBURG Ellen Fretz Sutliff, 86, of Menno Haven, formerly of 310 E. Queen St., died Wednesday in the home.
She was a former public relations employee at Chambersburg Hospital; owner-operator of the former Buchanan Gift Shop; a former employee of the Chambersburg Credit Bureau; attended the former Chambersburg Business School; was a graduate of Chambersburg High School; served on the Franklin County Ration Board during World War II; was a member and elder at Central Presbyterian Church; a member of Daughters of the American Revolution; a past state president of Daughters of 1812; and a life honorary vice president of National Daughters of 1812.
She was the widow of Robert Lamb Sutliff. Surviving are three sisters, Isabella F. Zeigler of Middletown and Carroll F. Barton and Elizabeth F. Beaver, both of Chambersburg.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in her church. Private burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
Arrangements are being handled by Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg.
