Actor. He will be best remembered from playing 'Keith Anderson' in the TV series "Good Times" (1979). Born Alton Adelbert Powers, he was raised in Providence Rhode Island by his older siblings. He became interested in performing and sang in a choir at a local church. He enrolled at Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied Art and later initiated his acting career at the Trinity Repertory Theatre. This led to his TV debut in a 1975 episode of the PBS program "Great Performances" titled "Brother of Dragons". Among his other television credits include "The Greatest American Hero", "Laverne and Shirley" and "The New Mike Hammer". He appeared in the films "Cheech and Chong's Next Movie" (1980), "Things Are Tough All Over" (1982) and "The Man Who Loved Women" (1983).
