Bryan Keith McKinney, age 53, of Freeport, Florida passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Crestview Rehabilitation Center under Hospice care. He was born January 17, 1959 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Keith is preceded in death by his adopted parents, George F. and Emma McKinney, one brother, and two sisters.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Bishop, daughter, Shauna Gregory and husband Marcus, grandchildren, Sky, Hailey, Julian, Tatiauna, mother, Myrnette Brown and stepfather Johnnie Brown; two brothers; one sister, aunts, Monette Ward and Camellia Wright, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.

Keith fought a hard battle with Juvenile Diabetes from the age of thirteen and had been on Dialysis since February 2010. He will be sadly missed and in our hearts forever.

The family would like to thank all those involved in his care these past few years, especially the last days. Dr. Pence, Dr. Thigpen, Crestview Rehabilitation Center, NOMC, Davita Dialysis Centers of DeFuniak and Crestview, Covenant Hospice, Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, and anyone else we failed to mention.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and interment in Black Creek Cemetery of Freeport, Florida will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home and Crematory.
