OKLAHOMA CITY
Jim passed away at home in OKC, surrounded by his wife, children and loved ones. He was born in Verden, OK to Si and Maime Lucas. Jim spent his life in the grocery industry, beginning as a stock boy, working his way up, he became a mgr. at several different grocery chains. Jim finished his career with Pratt Discount Foods, as the regional mgr. Never one to sit still, he joined his son as a co-owner of Able Movers. Jim was a Mason and proud of his Masonic activities. As a member of 40th St. Baptist Church, he served as a Deacon, where he was known as the "candyman" to all the kids at church. An amazing husband, father, Papaw, friend, mentor, and cohort in crime, it is an understatement to say he will be missed! He is survived by his wife, Joy, children and spouses, Pam and John Curlee, Alan Lucas, Tim and Tacey Lucas, Paula and Brent Townsend, Ronda Acton, Cindy and Jim McMahan, Melody Spruill, Kevin and Robin Touhey, and Leeanna and Joe Medders; two brothers, and four sisters, and family so large, it's too expensive to name them all! He was blessed with 28 "outstanding" grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Billie, and sisters, Sis, MaryEllen, and Noonie. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tues., 4-21-15, at the 40th St. Baptist Church, burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
