LUGOFF - Funeral services for Samuel "Sammy" M. Dawkins Jr., 59, of Lugoff, SC will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 20, 2015 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff- Elgin Chapel, with burial to be held at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jacob Helsley and Rev. Phillip Blankenship will officiate. The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Samuel "Sammy" M. Dawkins Jr. died Friday, April 17, 2015. He was born in Columbia, SC, the son of Mary A. Vaughn Dawkins and the late Samuel M. Dawkins Sr.

He was a member of Blaney Baptist Church.

Samuel is survived by his mother; sister, Carole D. Ready of West Columbia; uncles Bobby C. Vaughn of West Columbia and Billy V. Vaughn of Gaston, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Betty M. Sawyer. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff- Elgin Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
