Charleston Sunday Gazette Sept. 11, 1977

Mrs. Elizabeth Gillispie, 82 of Pliny, died Friday at home. She was a member of the Fraziers Bottom United Methodist Church. Surviving: husband, David; daughters, Mrs. Stella Eads of Virginia, Mrs. Mary Lucille Runion of Pliny, Mrs. Dena Johnson of South Side, Mrs. Ethel Jeffers of Columbus, Oh, Mrs. Bessie Mae Estep of West Columbia. Sons; Gilbert of Henderson, Melvin of Pliny, Gordon of Columbus, Oh, John of Gallipolis Ferry. Sister, Mrs. Hattie Harris of Buffalo. 33 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with the Rev. Fred McCallister officiating. Burial will be in the Hambrick Cemetery, South Side. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
