Jerry Eugene Harrell, 76, of Athens, GA passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
A native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Mr. Harrell was the son of the late D.W. Harrell and Ruby Nell Cook Harrell and was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Daniel Harrell and sister, Elizabeth Ruth Ashcraft. He had worked for Gulf State Paper Company is Tuscaloosa and retired from Reliance Electric in Athens. Mr. Harrell was also a member of Alberta Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wheelis Harrell of Athens; son, Russell Lee Harrell of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Justin Harrell, Ben Harrell, Parker Harrell, Chelsea Harrell, Clara Harrell, and Nick Harrell, and great-granddaughter, Abby Harrell.
Graveside services will be held 2PM Saturday, February 4th at Evergreen Memorial Park with Clint Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2PM prior to the service at Bernstein Funeral Home.
The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Odyssey Hospice, 575 Research Dr, Athens, GA 30605.
