The small upright white just to the right of the large gray is for Gertie and Little Paul, children of Civil War veteran Samuel R. Van Sant and his wife, Ruth Hall Van Sant.

The yellow flower is by the stone of Adam Clarke; the pink by the stone of Elizabeth.

The two low gray stones without flowers are footstones: Mother/Father

The upright white is for E A Van Sant. The cemetery records identified him as Elias Anderson Van Sant. The stone is faded but EA is identified as "son of"

Nearby but not in this photo are the stones for Samuel R Van Sant, Corporal Co. A, 9th Ill Cavalry (Civil War), his wife, Ruth Hall Van Sant, and a stone for Grant Van Sant.
